I am a Career Transition and Professional Networking Coach with She Leads Beautifully. I am also the Clinical Experiences and Internship Manager at National Louis University in downtown Chicago. I live in Hammond, IN. I'm married and have a 3-year-old daughter. One of my favorite things to do is play The Sims 4 (a life simulation game)! I've been feeling disconnected from everything happening in The Region since I no longer work here. So, I’m looking for new ways to become more connected with the people and get involved.

Shanese Hibbler
Shanese is a native of the southside of Chicago, Illinois. Shanese completed her master’s degree in clinical professional counseling psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Governor State University in University Park, IL. She has over 18 years of clinical expertise across a variety of clinical settings and virtual mental health consulting. Shanese is the Assistant Professor of Psychology at National Louis University. Shanese’s approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach and a variety of modalities. Shanese is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR Adults & Children, Exposure Response and Prevention Techniques, De-Escalation tactics, and Crisis Intervention. In addition to the facilitation of educational experiences, Shanese is currently an Independent Contracting Clinical Therapist in group practice at Thrive Psychological Services in Hyde Park, IL, Infinity Counseling in Crown Point, IN and her own independent Life coaching in Cedar Lake, IN, and Virtually. Shanese is the CEO, Founder, and President of Destyned 4 Gr8tness, an up and coming NFP community-based organization with an upheld mission to mentoring, anti-bullying, tutoring, self-enhancement, & self-empowerment designed to support, assist, and help children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 3 to 25 discover and reach their highest potential mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. She is an accountable, responsible, respectful, diligent, and effective public steward. However, her sole passion is reading, writing, inspiring, and motivating others. Shanese enjoys attending church, spending time learning about the things of God in Christian faith, learning, exploring, researching, writing, publishing, mentoring, watching the food network, home improvement shows, and Most of all being a Mom to her one and only Daughter. Dr. Ruby E. Powell is a multifaceted professional known for her transformative work in various fields. With a career spanning over three decades, she has made significant contributions as a corporate trainer, motivational speaker, professional development coach, counselor, consultant, and ministry leader. Her expertise encompasses administration, organization, workshop facilitation, and curriculum development. As the Executive Director of Dr. Ruby E. Powell & Associates, LLC, she leads a company dedicated to empowering leadership in life and business through tailored coaching, counseling, and consulting services. Additionally, she is the visionary Founder and CEO of the Oasis Empowerment Zone, Inc. (NFP), a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting single mothers through workshops, coaching, and networking opportunities, aiming to facilitate their journey towards self-sufficiency and prosperity. Dr. Powell's passion for serving others extends to her involvement in the Y.ME.N.T.O.R. program, a subsidiary of Oasis Empowerment Zone, providing mentoring services to young mothers aged 12 to 25. Her dedication to supporting vulnerable populations is evident in her 30-year commitment to addressing issues such as abuse, neglect, mental illness, and domestic violence within communities. Her qualifications, coupled with her passion for empowering others, have positioned her as a beacon of hope and catalyst for positive change in both professional and personal spheres.
